3 Keys to Having a Successful Day After Sleeping Too Late

Its 11:00 AM, and I’m just now waking up.

I’m feeling the drowsy disappointment of waking halfway through the day, so I lie in bed for about 30 minutes thinking I may as well use this day to relax. I mean, I’ve already wasted half the day by sleeping so why not?
Not giving into laziness, I throw back the covers and begin the process of generating momentum.
Small steps, as I warm my gears. Stretching, pissing, and throwing cold water on my face. Then its coffee, some protein to balance the blood sugar, and I step outside.
The question arises… How do I generate momentum?
Where does it even come from?
1) One Tiny Action Starts The Motor

I realize its the small act of getting out of bed and following my standard routine. No social media, no email. Just movement.
Yes, it took me thirty minutes to make crank the motor, but I spent that time thinking about my day, and not falling into the Facebook quicksand.
I know I must generate more momentum if I want this to be a successful day. Quickly, I’m lacing up the running shoes, shooting video and doing a bit of writing.
A few hours later, I’ve hit the lake, conquered hill sprints, and slowly ran 3.1 miles.
How did this begin though?
Where did I find the spark to make this happen?
2) I Did A Manual Override
There are times where we must place all of our emotions, feelings and judgements to the side. We need to drive the hammer down on that nail and TAKE ACTION regardless of how we feel about it.
Results are none of our business.
